New Racing Bikes in India: How TVS Is Leading the Charge

India's racing culture is growing faster than at any point in the country's motorsport history. Younger riders are entering track events in record numbers, new racing formats are attracting mainstream attention, and manufacturers are investing in racing infrastructure like never before. At the centre of this transformation is TVS Motor Company and its portfolio of new racing bikes in India is setting the pace for everyone else to follow.

Racing Bikes in India - The TVS Apache Lineage

TVS Apache is not just a motorcycle brand. It is a racing institution. Over 20 years and six million riders, the Apache series has accumulated more INMRC (Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship) titles than any other domestic manufacturer. The range today spans the RTR 160 2V, RTR 160 4V, RTR 180, RTR 200 4V, and the premium RR 310, each motorcycle carrying race-derived technology that makes it both faster on the track and better on the road.

The crown jewel for performance racing is the TVS Apache GP200R, a race-tuned machine that produces approximately 40% more power than the standard model and reaches speeds over 155 km/h. In a landmark move in June 2025, TVS became the first Indian manufacturer to supply race-tuned machines to independent teams for the INMRC National Championship Pro Stock 200 class, with PETRONAS TVS Racing providing technical support and machine servicing throughout the season.

The One Make Championship - Racing for Everyone

The TVS India One Make Championship (OMC) is a racing bikes in India platform that brings competitive motorsport to Apache owners across 20 cities and three competitive categories. Racers from India, Colombia, Mexico, and Nepal participate, making this not just a domestic competition but a genuinely global racing festival built around an affordable, accessible motorcycle.

The Apache Racing Experience (ARE) extends this spirit further, offering Apache owners immersive track days at MMRT and other circuits across the country. Participants ride race-spec machines under the guidance of TVS Racing champions, making the racetrack a tangible destination rather than a television spectacle.

A New Racing Bike Making Headlines: The Apache RTX 300

The newest addition to TVS's performance portfolio - the Apache RTX 300 adventure motorcycle is already attracting attention from riders who want a new racing bike capable of rally-inspired performance. With four ride modes, including a dedicated Rally mode, switchable ABS, USD suspension, and a 299cc liquid-cooled engine producing 36 PS, it bridges the gap between track sport and off-road adventure in a way no other Indian motorcycle currently can.
